Nothing captures the essence of the holidays quite like the comforting taste of warm apple pie, and this three-ingredient apple dump cake brings those same cozy flavors to your table with almost no effort. This simple ooey-gooey dessert is irresistibly delicious and a hit with the whole family. It’s the perfect addition to Thanksgiving or any holiday gathering, and the best part? It’s incredibly easy to make!

Ingredients:
- 3 cans of apple pie filling
- 1 box yellow or spice cake mix
- 1 1/2 sticks cold unsalted butter, plus some for the baking dish
- Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Instructions:
- Arrange a rack in the middle of the oven and heat the oven to 350°F.
- Lightly coat a 9×13-inch baking dish with unsalted butter.
- Layer in the baking dish in the following order (do not stir together): Spread 3 cans apple pie filling into an even layer. Sprinkle evenly with 1 box yellow cake mix. Cut 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter into thin slices and arrange over the cake mix in an even layer, covering the entire surface.
- Bake until golden brown, bubbling, and a crispy crust begins to form, about 1 hour.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.
