What’s better than taking your burger fixation but making it healthier!? I don’t think anything! This Healthy Burger Bowl recipe takes your classic burger, but adds in lots of veggies to make it a salad bowl. You are getting your favorite burger flavors while adding in the freshness of a salad to create a low carb meal that the family will love. There is also a special sauce recipe that serves as the “dressing” and it honestly ties in the whole meal. Healthy Burger Bowl Ingredients:
- burger meat: 1 lb ground beef, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- salad: romaine lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onion
- special sauce: 1/4 cup mayo, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1 teaspoon yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon pickle juice, 1 tablespoon dill relish, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
- Heat a skillet over medium high heat.
- Add the ground beef and spices. Brown the beef, breaking it up as it cooks, until it is fully cooked through.
- While the beef is browning, add all of the ingredients for the special sauce and whisk together until well combined.
- Now assemble your burger bowl, starting with romaine, then adding your toppings and cooked ground beef.
- Drizzle the special sauce over everything and enjoy!
